The Big Red Box is a food pantry designed in the spirit of the Little Free Pantry program.

Gladewaves Big Red Box program uses a similar concept to pique local interest in and action against neighborhood food insecurity. We work together with small neighborhood churches serving at risk and demographically diverse communities and provide a place where the community can work together to meet the food needs of their neighborhood.

Our organization works with the community leaders through their church to encourage community action in assisting its neighbors food needs.

Gladewaves provides food for each food pantry it builds and puts in place twice per week for three months.  During this three month tenure we work continuously with church leaders to actively engage their congregation in forming and sustaining a food pantry coalition for the neighborhood.  The ultimate goal of Gladewaves is to have each pantry supported fully by the community in which it stands.

“Small acts, when multiplied by millions of people, can change the world.”
